FILLING YOUR UNFILLED BAG
We suggest filling it with cloth rags like t-shirts, sweat pants or other clothing. A suggestion is to go to the Goodwill or thrift store and ask for clothes that they are throwing out. The other choice is to find a textile waste manufacturer; they shred fabric for stuffing in many things. You can buy it cheap and in bulk.
After getting the cloth filler, buy some firm carpet padding like the chip foam type. You can get this from any carpet store or home store. Tape into a cylinder and insert into the bag first. This will hold the shape of the bag and give you a nice surface for striking (inside the bag). Then stuff the rags into the bag with a pole, pack it down good. If you want to make the bag heavier, add a few small bags of sand to the middle of the rags, tape the bags of sand in duck tape.
